DNB Cardiology Admission : January 2012 Session.
Applications are invited on plain paper from eligible candidates for admission to DNB Cardiology for the January 2012 session.
Number of Seats: 2 (Two) Eligibility:
MD/DNB Medicine and CET (SS) Passed (2009-2010)
Last date of Application: 25/04/2010
Date of Aptitude Test: 27/04/2010

Guardian Minister visits Spandan Heart Institute |
|
Guardian Minister, Abasaheb Thorat visited Spandan Heart Institute on 26th January 2009. Mr. Thorat visited heart institutes in Nagpur who are authorized by Rotary International to undertake OPEN HEART SURGERIES of children with congenital heart defects and which are from below poverty line background. Mr. Madhu Rughwani, Past District Governer, Rotary International District 3030 and pioneer of heart2heart surgeries project also accompanied him.

Dr. H M Mardikar felicitated by Punjab National Bank |
Punjab National Bank Employees Union Nagpur is celebrating its golden jubilee year. As a part of the celebration, union organised a seminar on, 'Prevention of Cardiovascular disease within the social environment and childhood obesity and cardiovascular health in children' with the help of Spandan Heart Institute. Dr. Mardikar was felicitated for his dedicated service to society. Dr. Mardikar said that prevention of heart disease was the correct mantra for health. "Regular Exercise and periodical check up definately help in reducing the risk factor for heart disease" he noted.

VED Spandan Knowledge Series |
|
Spandan Heart Institute & Research Center has recently joined hands with the Vidarbha Economic Development
Council (VED) and inititated the "VED Spandan Knowledge Series." The series comprises four Orations in the
course of the coming year. The Orations would be on topics of public interest and personal 'expansion.'
The Knowledge series began with the first oration, "Creation of Wealth – Strategies that have worked," by Mr. Kishor
Chaukar, M.D. TATA Industries. The event, on 27 April, 2008 was co-sponsored by the State Bank of India and was
extremely well received by leading entrepreuners & professionals from Nagpur.

Spandan's Cardio-Diabetes Center Inaugurated |
|
Spandan Heart Institute and Research Center central India's leading center for advanced cardiac treatment starts first center for prevention of heart diseases. Coronary Artery Disease is the leading cause of death around the world. India is today, labeled as the "Diabetic capital of the world". Diabetes mellitus is the fastest growing disease in India.
It is estimated that 20 million Indians are already suffering with diabetes, At least 10 million diabetics are not aware
of the existing disease. At Spandan Cardio Diabetes Center, we will try and explain the need for new directions
in preventive care that could significantly reduce risk of heart disease. Management of risk factors can be treated
primarily by "Lifestyle Modification" in combination with medicines. Though our primary focus is to prevent
or treat diabetes, heart disease we also screen 1st degree relatives affected by diabetes & heart disease and help
them to live a long & healthy life. We emphasize the importance of recognizing that patients who have suffered
heart attack & or undergone angioplasty or CABG might not be receiving aggressive preventive care to reduce recurrence,

Cardiac Cathlab Inaugurated at Bhilai |

Cardiac cath lab was inaugurated at Chandulal Chadrakar Hospital by Shri Amar Agrawal, Minister of Urban Development an Health and Family Welfare, Government of Chattisgarh.
The lab was established by joint efforts of Spandan Heart Institute and Chandrakar Hospital, Bhilai.
